Community Health Partnership of Illinois is a FQHC (Federally Qualified Health Center);a private 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization that provides primary health care to migrant farmworkers and other medically underserved populations throughout northern and central Illinois that specializes in primary preventative medical, dental, and behavioral health service. Job Description:
We are seeking a highly experienced and dynamic Director of Accounting to join our executive team. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker and a hands-on leader who can effectively manage all finance and accounting functions within the company and has experience working with a FQHC.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement financial strategies to support the company's growth and profitability goals
- Provide leadership and guidance to the finance team, ensuring accurate financial reporting and analysis
- Oversee budgeting, Grant reporting, and Budget allocation
- Manage Care billing/negotiation
- Collaborate with other executives and department heads to make informed business decisions
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory and reporting requirements
- Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and effectiveness of finance operations
- Prepare presentations and reports for senior leadership and board of directors meetings
- Manage Charts of account for multiple grants
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, or related field
- CPA or CFA certification preferred
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in accounting and finance roles, with at least 3 years in a senior leadership position
- Strong knowledge of budgeting, accounting, and strategic planning
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proven ability to lead and develop a high-performing finance team
- Experience working for a FQHC is a preferred
